Securing the Publication

When you create a new publication for replication with Microsoft SQL Server Compact 3.5 (SQL Server Compact 3.5) Subscribers, you must configure security settings.

Enabling Publication Security

Because SQL Server Compact 3.5 Subscribers synchronize with publications through the HTTP protocol over the Internet, correct configuration of the publication is necessary to ensuring that your data is secure.

Securing the SQL Server publication involves the following tasks:

• Granting Access to the Database and Publication
• Configuring the Merging Changes Option
