En samling som är skrivskyddad tillåter inte tillägg, borttagning eller ändring av element när samlingen har skapats.

En samling som är skrivskyddad är helt enkelt en samling med en omslutning som förhindrar att samlingen ändras. Om ändringar görs i den underliggande samlingen återspeglar därför den skrivskyddade samlingen dessa ändringar.

Att hämta värdet för den här egenskapen är en O(1)-åtgärd.
