An AI agent proactively recommends a service appointment, checks parts availability, and drafts a personalized message to the customer—all before the customer is even aware of a problem. The service advisor reviews and approves the recommendation rather than manually triaging a complaint. This scenario is the AI-first future: Continuous data, intelligent reasoning, and agentic action come together so that businesses don't just predict what might happen—they act on it, with humans governing the decisions that matter.

A new paradigm

Microsoft recommends that teams avoid large, long waterfall efforts. Instead, deliver value early, then expand and optimize over time.
