Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
Dear @Victor Olson,
I completely understand how confusing this situation can be. Based on what you’ve described, it sounds like you currently have two separate Microsoft 365 subscriptions associated with the same email address:
- One Microsoft 365 subscription purchased directly from Microsoft, and
- One Microsoft 365 subscription purchased through GoDaddy
Please note that GoDaddy is an authorized Microsoft reseller. When Microsoft 365 is purchased through GoDaddy, you are still using Microsoft 365 services (such as Outlook, Exchange Online, etc.), but the billing, licensing, and management of that subscription are handled by GoDaddy instead of Microsoft.
Because of this, it is possible to end up with a Microsoft‑billed Microsoft 365 subscription and a GoDaddy‑billed Microsoft 365 subscription, even though both are linked to the same email address.
In most cases, you do not need both. If your email service (for example, your domain email in Outlook) is currently provided through your GoDaddy Microsoft 365 plan, then that subscription already includes the license required for your mailbox.
Therefore, the separate Microsoft‑billed Microsoft 365 (such as Microsoft 365 Basic) may no longer be necessary unless you intentionally set it up for a separate purpose. If your GoDaddy Microsoft 365 subscription is currently providing your email service, I recommend not cancelling this plan.
Moreover, could you please confirm these questions below to help me narrow down more effectively:
- Are you currently using your domain email (for example, ******@yourcompany.com) to send and receive emails through Outlook or are you using a personal Microsoft account (@outlook.com/hotmail.com)?
- Are you currently being charged separately by both Microsoft and GoDaddy for Microsoft 365 services?
- Where you normally manage your GoDaddy Microsoft 365 subscription? If possible, please kindly provide a screenshot to help me diagnose more effectively.
- Whether you are able to access the Microsoft 365 Admin Center?
- To make sure I'm reviewing the correct subscription, could you please let me know the exact subscription name that you see listed?
- If you are using business account, could you please sign in to the following page using your email address: https://portal.office.com/account/?ref=Harmony#subscriptions. Once signed in, please check if you see any active Microsoft 365 subscription listed (for example: Microsoft 365 Basic, Personal, Business Standard, Apps for Business, etc.), and let me know what appears there.

I hope the information shared helps point you in the right direction. Please try the steps above and let me know if they work. If not, we can continue working together to narrow this down.
The first response may not always resolve the issue right away, but with your help and more details, we can work toward a solution.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. I'm looking forward for your reply.
