Phone Link has stopped showing my outgoing texts

I don't know if this is the right place to post this. Just recently, Phone Link stopped showing outgoing texts. They do go out and are received, but they're not displayed in Phone Link. It'd been fine for a long time. Then for a few days, they were appearing as a separate thread in the left window, but now they've disappeared altogether

They appear as they should within threads on my phone.

I'm using WIndows 10, up to date.

Thanks for assistance.

    Welcome David Bergman,

I understand how frustrating it can be when Phone Link on Windows 10 no longer shows your outgoing text messages, even though the messages are successfully sent and received on your phone.

To help identify the fastest resolution, please confirm the following:

    • Are you using an Android phone or an iPhone with Phone Link?
    • Did this behavior start after a recent Phone Link app update or a phone OS update?

In the meantime, you can try the steps below to troubleshoot the issue:

Step 1: Check Phone Link permissions on your phone

    • On your phone, make sure Phone Link has permission for SMS, notifications, and background activity
    • Disable battery optimization for Phone Link

Step 2: Turn message sync off and back on in Phone Link

    • Open the Phone Link app on your Windows PC from the Start menu
    • Select Settings >Features
    • Turn Messages off
    • Close the Phone Link app completely
    • Reopen Phone Link
    • Turn Messages back on and wait for re‑sync

Step 3: Sign out of Phone Link and re‑pair the phone

    • Open Phone Link on Windows from the Start menu
    • Open Settings > Accounts
    • Sign out of your Microsoft account
    • Close Phone Link
    • Restart your PC
    • Open Phone Link
    • Sign in again
    • Follow the on‑screen steps to reconnect your phone

Step 4: Update the Phone Link app

    • Open Microsoft Store on Windows
    • Select Library
    • Click Get updates
    • Install any available update for Phone Link

I hope this information helps resolve your issue. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me again in this thread.
