Step 1: Check Phone Link permissions on your phone
- On your phone, make sure Phone Link has permission for SMS, notifications, and background activity
- Disable battery optimization for Phone Link
Step 2: Turn message sync off and back on in Phone Link
- Open the Phone Link app on your Windows PC from the Start menu
- Select Settings >Features
- Turn Messages off
- Close the Phone Link app completely
- Reopen Phone Link
- Turn Messages back on and wait for re‑sync
Step 3: Sign out of Phone Link and re‑pair the phone
- Open Phone Link on Windows from the Start menu
- Open Settings > Accounts
- Sign out of your Microsoft account
- Close Phone Link
- Restart your PC
- Open Phone Link
- Sign in again

Step 4: Update the Phone Link app
