Microsoft 365 features that help users manage their subscriptions, account settings, and billing information.
The upgraded subscription is not visible in the account and the community or documentation content cannot access or fix account‑specific billing or subscription records.
To resolve this type of issue (payment taken, but upgraded Microsoft 365 subscription not showing on the account), the supported path is to contact Microsoft Support directly so they can securely check the subscription, payment, and which Microsoft account it is associated with.
Use these steps to proceed:
- First, confirm the subscription status on the Microsoft account believed to be used:
- Go to the Subscriptions page.
- Sign in with the Microsoft account email that is expected to hold the subscription.
- Under Subscriptions, check whether the $99.99/year Microsoft 365 plan appears and whether it shows Has recurring billing or Expires on [date].
- If only the older $19.99/year subscription or an expiration on April 26, 2026 is shown and no upgraded plan is listed, the payment may be tied to a different account or there may be a billing error.
- If the upgraded subscription still does not appear, contact Microsoft Support for billing help so they can look up the charge and subscription using the payment details:
- Go to Contact support.
- Sign in with the Microsoft account.
- Choose Microsoft 365/Office and a billing or subscription category (for example, Billing and Payment updates or Manage my subscription).
- Choose the option to Chat with a support agent or request a call.
- If the charge itself is in question or appears as an unexpected or duplicate charge, use the billing investigation tools:
- Go to the Manage your payments page from the Microsoft account dashboard and select Investigate for the relevant charge. This helps determine whether it is a subscription renewal, an upgrade, or a different purchase.
- If necessary, follow the guided troubleshooter from the same article to understand why the charge occurred.
- If a refund or correction is needed (for example, if the upgrade was misapplied or charged to the wrong account), the support agent can check eligibility and process it according to the refund policy for Microsoft subscriptions.
Because resolving missing or mismatched subscriptions requires access to internal billing and account data, only Microsoft Support can correct the subscription so that the upgraded $99.99/year plan appears correctly on the account and extends or replaces the existing expiration.
