I redeemed product key and installed Microsoft Office Home & Business 2024 and when I proceed with/next steps to download the apps (Word, Excell, etc.... ) it asks if I want to purchase Microsoft? It also tells me that I already redeemed this product key on 10/18/25. I need help? What am I missing? How can I download the apps?

    Hello,

Just to confirm, did you follow the steps I mentioned earlier? Are you still having the same issue?

Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

When you sign in to your Microsoft account on the Services & Subscriptions page, do you see your Office Home & Business 2024 license listed there?

    https://account.microsoft.com/services

If yes, click "Install" to download the Office package files on your device. You can then install Office on your Mac.

If you encounter any issues, let me know.

After redeeming the key, the apps are installed and activated through the Microsoft account that now owns the license, not by entering the key again. The message that the key was already redeemed means the license is correctly tied to an account, but the device is either:

    • Not signed into the correct Microsoft account, or
    • Does not yet have Office installed from that account.

Follow these steps on the Mac that should run Office Home & Business 2024:

    1. Confirm the correct Microsoft account
      • Go to https://account.microsoft.com/services and sign in.
      • Make sure the account used is the same one that was used when the product key was redeemed.
      • Under Services & subscriptions, verify that Office Home & Business 2024 is listed.
      • If it is not listed, sign out and try any other Microsoft accounts you may have until the product appears.
    2. Install Office from the Services & subscriptions page
      • On the same Services & subscriptions page, next to Office Home & Business 2024, select Install.
      • Download the installer package for Mac and run it.
      • Complete the installation wizard.
    3. Activate the apps on first launch
      • Open Word (or Excel, PowerPoint) on the Mac.
      • When prompted to sign in, use the same Microsoft account that shows Office Home & Business 2024 under Services & subscriptions.
      • After sign-in, the apps should activate and no longer ask to purchase Microsoft 365.
    4. If the Mac still prompts to purchase Microsoft 365
      • Make sure no other Microsoft account is signed in inside the Office apps:
        • Open Word → Word menu → Sign Out (if another account is shown).
        • Restart Word and sign in again with the correct account from step 1.

If installation repeatedly fails on Mac, temporarily disable third‑party antivirus/security software (similar to the Norton case in the context) and retry the installer.
