tried all the possible ways to fix this green tint (like bad night vision) the front and rear cameras of my surface book 2 has been exhibiting from the last two weeks. even tried to find the "enable..." on the registry editor but it wasnt there so maybe that isnt the issue here. updated, reinstalled the drivers and softwares are upto date, restarted as well but no luck. can someone please help?

It seems to be a Hardware related issue.
Boot into Safe Mode
Try camera
If green tint is still there → 100% hardware issue
Try camera app in
Microsoft Teams
Zoom
If all show green → confirms it's not app-specific
The Surface Book 2 has a separate IR camera for Windows Hello. Sometimes it interferes with the regular camera feed. Go to Device Manager → Cameras or Imaging Devices, find the IR camera , right-click → Disable device. Then test the regular camera.
