So I opened up my email and it said it could not recieve emails due to my one drive storage being full. So I went into my one drive and deleted everything. It now shows .4 gig out of 5 gig being used. When I relog into my email it goes back to saying the storage is still full. I re-check and the next page shows it's empty. I need to be able to recieve emails on this Account. Any ideas on how to fix?

    This may be a known bug. Waiting on a fix from Microsoft.

    The Question is about a quota change after an upgrade. But the problem also shows up after just clearing out storage. In both cases Outlook does not update to the actual free space available.

    Hello,

    How much space is your email storage using here?

    In the first screenshot, select Free up space > Outlook (Attachments).

    Delete the emails that contain large attachments. (Only delete a few emails with large attachments, not all of them). Make sure you have a backup of the attachments before deleting them from OneDrive.

    This should update your available storage and allow you to send and receive emails again.

    Let me know if you still need more help.

    Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

    With a Microsoft account (without any Office 365 Subscription), you get 5GB of OneDrive Cloud Storage and 15GB of Outlook email storage. If you exceed any one of the limits, you won't be able to send or receive emails normally.

    As you have already checked your OneDrive space, please check your Outlook storage space as well by signing in with your account here-

    https://outlook.live.com/mail/0/options/accounts-category/storage

    Expand the email storage section and see if you have enough space there.

    =============================================================================

    If you exceed the storage limit, your account will be placed in a frozen state.

    After you upgrade your storage or free up space in your account, it typically takes up to 24 hours for the account to unfreeze and return to normal. After 24 hours, I recommend that you sign out and then sign back in to Outlook.com, and then check whether you can send and receive emails again.

    In the meantime, if possible, try deleting additional files from OneDrive so you don’t encounter the same issue again. You can use the link above to identify which large files are taking up space in your OneDrive.
