SAVE COPILOT LOGS

Copilot usage in Word is not exposed as a separate, exportable “log” for a student account. However, Copilot chats in Word are automatically saved and can be revisited, which effectively preserves usage history for that document.

To keep a record of Copilot usage in Word for a student:

1. Open the Word document where Copilot was used.
2. Select the Copilot icon on the Home tab to open the Copilot pane.
3. Use the saved chat history in the pane to review what was asked and how Copilot responded. Chats are automatically saved and can be revisited, followed up on, or continued later.
4. To preserve or share this usage, manually copy the relevant prompts and responses from the Copilot pane and paste them into a separate Word document or another file for record-keeping.

There is no context indicating an automated export or logging feature (such as a downloadable log file) for Copilot usage in Word for individual university/student users.
