How to get azure student plan?

To be eligible for Azure for Students (which includes $100 in credits and does not require a credit card), Microsoft requires all of the following:

Eligibility Criteria

Age: Must be at least 18 years old

Enrollment:

Must be a full-time student

Enrolled at an accredited, degree-granting university or college

Verification Requirements (Strict)

A school-issued email address (e.g., .edu, .ac.in, etc.)

The email domain must be recognized in Microsoft’s academic verification system

One-Time Offer Policy

You are not eligible for Azure for Students if:

You have previously used any Azure subscription under the same Microsoft account, including:

Only one subscription per person for lifetime is allowed

These eligibility rules are automatically enforced by Microsoft and cannot be manually overridden

Azure for Students has strict eligibility and verification requirements. If the portal says the account is not eligible even though the information is correct, check the following points that are enforced by the offer:

1. Confirm eligibility requirements Azure for Students is available only if all of these are true:
   • Enrollment as a full‑time student at an accredited, degree‑granting, two‑year or four‑year institution (college/university).
   • Age requirement: typically 18 or older.
   • Ability to verify academic status using the institution (school) email address.
   • Not using the offer for MOOCs or professional trainings from for‑profit organizations.
   • No previous Azure for Students subscription on the same person (only one Azure for Students subscription per eligible customer).
   If any of these conditions are not met (for example, part‑time, non‑degree program, institution not recognized as accredited, under minimum age, or already used Azure for Students before), the system will mark the account as not eligible.
2. Verify academic status correctly
   • Use the official institutional email address (for example, ******@university.edu) when signing up.
   • Make sure that email domain belongs to an accredited, degree‑granting institution.
   • Complete any verification email or flow sent to that address.
3. If still not eligible
   • If all eligibility conditions are satisfied and the correct institutional email is used but the system still reports not eligible, the institution or email domain might not be recognized by the automated verification system.
   • In that case, use the support/contact options provided in the Azure Education / Azure for Students pages (for example, via the Azure Education Hub or Azure support) so that support can review eligibility and, if possible, assist with manual verification or confirm that the institution is not supported.
4. Alternative if Azure for Students cannot be granted
   • If eligibility cannot be confirmed, Azure for Students cannot be issued. In that case, only standard Azure subscriptions (such as pay‑as‑you‑go) or institution‑provided benefits (for example, Azure Dev Tools for Teaching via the school) can be used.
