My outlook live hides (does not delete) all focused emails, no advice helped

My outlook live hides all incoming focused emails.

Outlook does not delete emails and it does not transfer emails to different folders / locations.

I know because (1) I see all emails in-tact on my mobile app and (2), when I open outlook live fresh, all emails appear for 1 second and then all vanish. It started 3 month ago with occasional 1 or 2 emails and now the whole list of emails in the Focused range disappear.

I generally use edge browser. However, I checked all browsers I know (Chrome, Firefox, etc.) and the same issue happens everywhere. Moreover, I checked on different desktops in different locations - the same issue.

I followed all advice online. I checked all filters and deleted those of old irrelevant value. I switched the focus option on and off. Nothing helps, I exhausted all possible tricks. I tried to contact MS directly, but it is not possible and the only option left is to post my Q in this Q&I section.

This issue poured on me so out of time. It hit me so much and in unduly manner as I have to waste my time on sorting out this BS caused entirely by this AI and MS nonsense on training Outlook to sort out emails in personal boxes.

I hoped someone from MS could do a 10 minutes remote session to help and I was ready for it. However, it seems to be an impossible option. If someone helps me over this chat or via my email stated in my login avatar, I will be incredibly thankful. I can still read emails on my mobile app. Thanks.

    Hello Ruslan Kutlukaev,

    I can understand how exhausting it is to deal with a technical glitch that disrupts your workflow for months, especially when you have already tried every standard troubleshooting step available. 

    Based on your very clear explanation, this points to a Focused Inbox rendering incident on the server side. Because this is happening at the mailbox level in the cloud, standard "client-side" fixes like clearing your browser cache often fail. The reason your mobile app works is likely because it uses a different synchronization protocol that isn't relying on the same broken web-view pipeline. 

    Since you have already checked your filters and rules, I recommend reporting this directly to the Outlook.com engineering team through the Help (?) icon in the web app so they can investigate your specific mailbox "tenant." In the meantime, here are three targeted workarounds to bypass the broken view: 

    1. Use the "Other" Inbox as Primary 

    • Click on the Other tab at the top of your message list. 
    • Ensure your view is set to Sort > Newest on top
    • While not ideal, this view is typically more stable because it doesn't trigger the specific AI sorting query that is currently failing in your Focused tab. 

    2. Force-Disable Focused Inbox at the Mailbox Level 

    Sometimes the toggle in the main UI doesn't fully "reset" the server-side setting. You can trythis deep-reset path: 

    1. Go directly to Outlook Layout Settings
    2. Select Don't sort my messages under the Focused Inbox section. 
    3. Click Save, then Sign out of Outlook.com completely. 
    4. Wait about 2 minutes to let the server update, then sign back in. This can sometimes clear the "stuck" sorting instruction. 

    3. Use an Explicit URL Shortcut 

    You can bypass the cached Focused query by using a direct URL. you can try bookmarking this specific link to force a clean Inbox load: https://outlook.live.com/mail/?layout=focus

    I know this may not be the answer you were looking for, but I hope one of these options allows you to regain stable access to your emails without them disappearing. Thank you for your understanding.
