    Welcome Norma Rhynold,

I understand how frustrating it can be when an email you sent to yourself was automatically classified as spam by Postmaster even though the sender and recipient are the same.

Besides the earlier recommendations, you may find these additional options helpful:

Option 1: Test with a clean message

    • Create a new email to yourself
    • Use a short subject
    • Type a plain‑text message only
    • Do not include links, images, signatures, or attachments
    • Send the message and check where it arrives

    Option 2: Disable forwarding temporarily

    • Open Settings
    • Go to Mail, then Forwarding
    • Turn off forwarding if it is enabled
    • Save changes and send another test email

Option 3: Check Focused Inbox behavior

    • Go to Settings
    • Select Mail, then Layout
    • Turn off Focused Inbox
    • Save changes and test again

I hope this information helps resolve your issue. If you have any further questions, please don’t hesitate to contact me again in this thread.

    Hello,

Are you sending this from the Outlook app or from a web browser?

If Outlook flags a message to yourself as spam, check your junk settings and safe sender list by going to Settings > Mail > Junk Email and add your own email address to Safe senders, then review Rules under Settings > Mail > Rules to make sure nothing is moving your mail to Junk, and also open the message in Junk and select “Not junk” so the system learns your preference, which helps future emails from yourself go to your inbox.
