1/ Confirm Teams is using the correct microphone and run a Test Call
- Open Microsoft Teams, then select Settings and more (three dots), select Settings, and then select Devices.
- Under Audio settings, set Microphone to the exact device you want to use, and make sure it is not muted on the device itself.
- Select Make a test call, record a short message, and confirm the playback works and the test summary shows the microphone is detected.
- If you are using Bluetooth, disconnect it from any other device first, then reconnect and repeat the test call in Teams.

2/ Recheck Windows microphone permissions and input device selection

4/ Clear the Teams cache

- Mac: Quit Teams completely. Open Finder, press Command + Shift + G, and enter
~/Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.com.microsoft.teams. Move this folder to the trash, empty it, and restart Teams.

5/ Verify Physical Connections
- If you are using an external headset, double-check that a physical mute button on the wire or a flip-to-mute boom arm isn't activated.
- If you are using a Bluetooth device, unpair it from your system and pair it again to refresh the audio routing.
