is there an ETA for the support of RockyLinux 10 and AlmaLinux 10 for Azure ARC and AMA?

Once the Azure Arc onboarding script was updated to include OS version 10, the server onboarded successfully. This confirms that the Azure Arc Connected Machine agent supports Rocky Linux 10. The issue might be due to the onboarding script not yet being updated to recognize the newly supported OS versions, rather than a limitation of the Arc agent itself.

yes the agent is ok, but the script not.
it should reflect the arc agent supported OSes, because not everyone would modify the onboarding script.

Once the ARC script was edited including the v 10, the server has been onboarded successfully.
The ARC agent supports Rocky v10 but the ARC onboarding script is not aligned with the new supported OSes.
Hello Elias, As of today, Azure Arc’s Connected Machine agent and the Azure Monitor Agent (AMA) don’t yet support Rocky Linux 10 or AlmaLinux 10. The officially supported Linux distributions (per the “Connected Machine agent prerequisites” doc) include:
• Rocky Linux 8 & 9
• AlmaLinux 8 & 9
• RHEL 7–9, Ubuntu 16.04–22.04, Debian 10–13, CentOS 7/8, Amazon Linux 2, Oracle Linux 7–10, SUSE SLES 12/15, etc.

Rocky Linux 10 and AlmaLinux 10 are already supported by the Azure Connected Machine agent (Azure Arc agent) starting with azcmagent version 1.62.
From the agent release notes for version 1.62 (March 2026):
For Azure Arc–enabled servers managed by Azure Update Manager, AlmaLinux 9 and Rocky Linux 8/9 are listed as supported, but AlmaLinux 10 and Rocky Linux 10 are not yet included in the Update Manager support matrix.
For Azure Site Recovery and related mobility services, AlmaLinux 10.0 and Rocky 10.0 are listed as newly supported distros in Update Rollup 80.
No ETA is provided in the context for Azure Monitor Agent (AMA) support on Rocky Linux 10 or AlmaLinux 10.
