When adding an apex alias recordset in Azure DNS to redirect to Azure Front door, I get "The feature AliasAfdx is not available."

This happens in Azure CLI, in the portal for Azure DNS, and in the portal for Azure Front Door.

I'm on Azure Front Door Standard, I have permissions on the root subscription that includes both the DNS zone and the Front Door endpoint, everything is in the same resource group, and Microsoft.Network is registered in the subscription (also re-registered it just in case).

Any thoughts on a quick resolve here?

    Hello **Teagan Huntington
**If you are trying to add an alias record for AFD in Microsoft Azure Government, it is not supported, which is why you are encountering this error.
