I have the MS Teams app, but it’s not showing in my library of apps on my iPhone. How do get it to show up again?

    Hi @Christa Chill

I hope you’re having a great day. I appreciate your patience and the details you provided.

Here are my recommendations, please follow the steps below:

    1/ Spotlight search

    • From the Home Screen, swipe down and type “Teams”.
    • If you see the Microsoft Teams app, long‑press the icon and drag it back to your Home Screen.

2/ Check the App Store status

Open App Store > search for “Microsoft Teams”.

    • If you see a cloud icon, tap it to re‑download the app (this means it was offloaded or removed).
    • If you see Open, the app is already installed. Go to the App Library (the last page), search for Teams, then long‑press the icon to move it back to your Home Screen.

3/ Turn off automatic offloading and reinstall if needed

    • Go to Settings > App Store and turn Offload Unused Apps off.
    • Or go to Settings > General > iPhone Storage > Microsoft Teams > Reinstall App (if this option appears).

4/ Check Screen Time restrictions (if enabled)

Go to Settings > Screen Time > Content & Privacy Restrictions:

    • Allowed Apps & Features: make sure Teams (and required app categories) aren’t blocked.
    • Content Restrictions > Apps: set this to Allow All.

Additionally, if the app icon is present but unresponsive, please try delete Microsoft Teams, reinstall it from the App Store, and sign in again.

5/ If this is a work‑managed device (Company Portal / MDM)

    • Open Company Portal and check the device compliance status.
    • Install Microsoft Teams from Company Portal if your organization requires the managed version.
    • If Teams was automatically removed by policy, please contact your IT administrator to have it re‑enabled.

On iPhone, the Teams icon only appears if the app is installed and not hidden or removed from the Home Screen.

    Try these steps in order:

    1. Confirm Teams is installed
      • Open the App Store.
      • Search for Microsoft Teams.
      • If the button says Open, the app is installed. If it says Get or shows a download icon, reinstall it.
    2. Open Teams from the App Library
      • Swipe left past all Home Screen pages until the App Library appears.
      • In the search bar at the top, type Teams.
      • If it appears, tap and hold the Teams icon and drag it back to a Home Screen.
    3. Reinstall Teams if it doesn’t appear in iOS settings
The documentation notes that if Teams is missing from iOS settings, reinstalling fixes visibility issues:
      • Tap and hold any existing Teams icon (if visible) and choose Remove App > Delete App.
      • Go to the App Store, search Microsoft Teams, and install it again.
      • After installation, the icon should appear in the App Library and can be moved to the Home Screen.
    4. Sign back in if needed
      • Open the Teams app and sign in with the Microsoft 365 account if prompted, as described in the mobile sign-in guidance.

If the icon still does not appear after reinstalling, restart the iPhone and check the App Library again.
