In Microsoft Teams, please go to Settings > Notifications and activity, and under the Sound section, check whether “Play sounds with notifications” is turned on. If it’s not enabled, please turn it on and see if the notification sound starts working.
If that option is already enabled and the issue persists, could you please let me know:
- Are you using a personal account (such as Hotmail.com, Outlook.com, or Gmail.com), or a work or school account provided by your organization? (In some cases, organization policies can control or disable notification sounds.)
- Which operating system are you using Microsoft Teams on? Windows or macOS?
- Additionally, has this issue started recently, or has it been happening consistently for a longer time?
