Microsoft Teams deactivated

My personal Microsoft 365 Family account (******@moye.com) cannot sign into Microsoft Teams.

The Teams iPhone app says “This account has been deactivated due to inactivity or suspension.”

The Teams web app and desktop app both fail with the same error loop.

My account is no longer in any organization.

I need my Teams personal profile reactivated on the backend.

A deactivated or suspended Microsoft Teams (personal/Free) profile cannot be reactivated by the end user from the client apps. When access is blocked or challenged, Teams will show a sign-in banner or error and prevent joining meetings, chats, or calls until the backend status is resolved.

For personal or free accounts, there is no self-service switch to “unsuspend” the Teams profile. The available actions are:

    1. Try to restore access via normal sign-in
      • Open the Teams app (desktop, web, or mobile) and select the Sign in banner or button if it appears.
      • Complete any prompts such as multi-factor authentication (MFA) or other verification.
      • If the sign-in window does not appear, fully quit and reopen Teams, then try again.
    2. Check for network or security-related blocks
      • Ensure the device is connected to a stable network and, if required by any prior configuration, to a VPN or specific network before opening Teams.
      • Avoid switching networks (for example, from home Wi‑Fi to mobile data) while Teams is open; sign out first if changing networks.
    3. If the banner or error persists
      • Because the profile state (deactivated/suspended) is controlled on the service side, resolution requires support intervention.
      • Use the official support options for Teams/Teams Free to request that the account be reviewed and access restored.

For additional help, contact support or use the Microsoft Teams community channels referenced below to open a support case and have the backend status of the Teams personal profile investigated and, if eligible, reactivated.
