I'm trying the beta version 147.0.3912.31 and the error still persist.
The window control buttons in the latest version of Edge (146.0.3856.62) are abnormally small after enabling the vertical tab bar

As shown in the image. The buttons may even disappear completely after the window is maximized. After disabling the vertical tab the buttons turn to normal

This appears to be a bug in this version. You may have already seen another thread reporting the same issue. In this case, it would be best to report it by pressing Alt+Shift+I so the team can look into this and provide a fix on the next update. In the meantime, you can try installing Edge Beta to see if that version works properly.
