A Microsoft file hosting and synchronization service.
Apps themselves cannot be transferred directly between Android phones using Microsoft tools in the provided context. Only files and content can be moved using Microsoft’s Phone Link and OneDrive experiences.
To move app data or other personal files related to apps (documents, photos, etc.) between devices without using cloud backup of the whole phone, files can be copied between a Windows PC and an Android device via Phone Link and the Link to Windows app:
- Ensure both Android device and Windows PC meet these requirements:
- Windows 10 (May 2019 update or later) or Windows 11
- Android 10 or later
- Link to Windows app version 1.24032.518.0 or later
- Phone Link version 1.24032.156.0 or later
- Connect the Android phone and PC to the same Wi‑Fi network.
- On the PC, open Phone Link and connect to the Android device using Link to Windows.
- To send files from PC to Android:
- Right‑click a file on the PC and select Share.
- Choose Phone Link in the share popup.
- The file is delivered to the phone; it appears under Downloads → Sent from your PC in the Android file manager.
- To drag files from PC to Android using Phone screen (supported Samsung, HONOR, OPPO, ASUS, vivo, Xiaomi only):
- In Phone Link, open Phone screen.
- Drag files from the PC into the Phone screen window until the cursor shows Copy, then release.
- Files are stored in My Files (typically Internal Storage → Download).
This allows moving documents and other app-related files, but installing the apps themselves on the new Pixel must be done via Google Play or Android’s own device-to-device transfer, not via Microsoft tools in this context.
