How do I change to classic subscription (without Copilot)?

I received the email about the Classic vs Copilot fraud and cannot change to Classic. How do I fix this?

Hello, thank you for reaching out to Microsoft Q&A.

If you prefer not to use Copilot AI features, such as Designer or Copilot, in Office 365 apps, you can switch back to the Classic 365 plan. This plan includes only the standard Office apps and will remain at the same cost you’ve previously paid.

To switch to classic, sign in with your Microsoft account here-

https://account.microsoft.com/services

Select your Office 365 subscription, and click Manage subscription.
Then, click Cancel subscription.
You should have the option to switch back to the classic plan.

this no longer works. when I went to cancel, I was NOT given option to revert to the classic plan without CoPilot. So, I will move my stuff off, cancel, and never come back, as I don't want anything to do with CoPilot.

The offer may not exist everywhere in the world. For example, it is not offered in Australia or New Zealand after December 31, 2025. See https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/switching-to-microsoft-365-personal-and-family-classic-plans-58342e83-38e7-4cda-b63b-88604a8fb7ef .

As an alternative, you can get a one-time payment license such as Office Home & Business 2024.

I actually just figured it out. I was going to go ahead and let my subscription end in May, as I didn't want to pay for copilot, so I had turned off recurring billing. I turn recurring bulling back on, then I was able to click cancel and change plans. To me, it sucks because I still have to pay for copilot for 5 months, and I don't use it, and will never use it. Still might go ahead an cancel for good.

I got the option to switch to classic but not until my plan expired in almost a year. No matter how hard I tried I couldn’t get to a human so I cancelled. Was hoping to retry to get classic but I want the a I off my computer today. Not in a year. Trying out another product now with no AI. Hopefully the humans come back to work at some point.

I didn't get the option to go back to Classic. Only the much more expensive option.
Is there another option?
