Managing browser extensions in Microsoft Edge on Windows 10
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
Hi Microsoft Team,
I’ve been using the CapCut Web Editor on Microsoft Edge, but lately it feels a bit laggy during video preview and export. I’ve already tried clearing cache, disabling extensions, and updating Edge to the latest version.
Is there any recommended browser setting or performance tweak to make CapCut run smoother on Edge?
Thanks for your help and all the great browser updates!
Managing browser extensions in Microsoft Edge on Windows 10
Hi david robert,
Welcome to Microsoft Q&A!
If CapCut Web Editor feels laggy in Microsoft Edge, the issue is likely related to hardware acceleration, graphics settings, or system resource limits. You’ve already tried the right first steps, here are some more advanced options:
1 - Enable/Disable hardware acceleration
2 - Enable efficiency mode:
3 - Check Experimental Flags
edge://flags in the address bar > Search for:
4 - Test with another browser
In case the performance remains poor, CapCut desktop app is more optimized for heavy editing than the web version. Let me know if anything above improves the smoothness of your editing experience with Capcut.
