I have the product installation key but not a DVD. Office was purchased at Best Buy when I bought a new computer. I want to be able to use 2010 to be access Publisher when it retires.

    Hi Karen,

    Thanks for reaching out!

To help narrow things down, could you let me know how Publisher 2010 was originally installed—was it part of a physical purchase, a digital download, or pre-installed on your computer?

If you purchased Microsoft Publisher 2010 as a standalone product or as part of a Microsoft Office suite, the product key is typically included in one of the following places:

Physical copy: On a sticker inside the DVD case or on the packaging.

Digital purchase: In the confirmation email or on your Microsoft account under your order history.

Pre-installed software: If it came with a new PC, the key might be on a Certificate of Authenticity (COA) sticker attached to the device.

If you no longer have access to any of these, you might try using a key retrieval tool like Belarc Advisor or ProduKey to scan your system for installed software keys. These are third-party tools and should be used at your discretion.

I hope this helps you get the thing sorted out quickly! If things still don’t work out, feel free to share an update, I’ll be happy to assist further.
