I want my Zoom icon back on my start up bar

I had this same question today. I see no answer from previous user question so I'm going to post mine, cause no answer doesn't help. For each step below that was recommended, see my comments after suggested step (a,b,etc)

1. Press Windows + S to open the Search bar > Type “Zoom” and see if the Zoom desktop app appears > If it appears, right-click the app and select Pin to Start or Pin to Taskbar.
   1. I pressed and held the Windows icon on my keyboard and then press "S". I did not see "Zoom"
2. If the Application is Still Installed but Not Appearing: Press the Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog box > Type shell:appsfolder and press Enter > Scroll through the list and find Zoom > Right-click on the Zoom icon > go to Show more options > select Pin to taskbar.
   1. This worked and placed Zoom icon in my taskbar.
   2. However, I don't want it in my taskbar. I want it on my desktop since I don't use it much.
   3. I repeated this Step 2 and a "Zoom" folder appeared at the bottom of list. I right-clicked the Zoom folder and selected create a shortcut. Error messages appears but asks "Do you want the shortcut to be placed on the desktop instead." I pressed "Yes" and the shortcut is on my desktop and it does open Zoom.
   4. I then pressed the "Start" square on the toolbar but did not see Zoom in the "Pinned" section. With the "Start " window still open, I did a search for "Zoom". Zoom Workplace App did appeared this time. I right-clicked on the Zoom Workplace app and pinned it to Start. It now appears. Worked beautifully.

My take - though this seems like a lot of steps, with the current Windows 11 version it is difficult to drill down in File Manager since the structure has changed. Doing the above steps is the best way to get an APP to appear where you want it.

This can sometimes happen after a system update or if there was an issue during a recent Zoom update. 

Let's walk through the steps to get Zoom back on your Windows 11 PC:   

• Press Windows + S to open the Search bar > Type “Zoom” and see if the Zoom desktop app appears > If it appears, right-click the app and select Pin to Start or Pin to Taskbar.
• If the Application is Still Installed but Not Appearing: Press the Windows Key + R to open the Run dialog box > Type shell:appsfolder and press Enter > Scroll through the list and find Zoom > Right-click on the Zoom icon > go to Show more options > select Pin to taskbar.
• If you still can't find Zoom in the shell:appsfolder, it confirms that the application needs to be reinstalled: Open Microsoft Edge and navigate to https://zoom.us/signin > Sign into your Zoom account > Click the three-dot menu in Edge (top-right) > Apps > Install this site as an app > Name the app “Zoom” and click Install.

Can you go to Settings > Apps > Installed Apps, and confirm if you have the Zoom app installed?

Also, if you search for Zoom in the search on the taskbar, does the Zoom app show up?
