Open Microsoft Edge's accessibility settings & turn off 'Page colors'.

    Hi @venkateshan sk ,

The behavior you’re seeing (white boxes around text and broken dark mode) often occurs when Windows Contrast Themes are enabled. These themes override normal color schemes for accessibility purposes, and Microsoft Edge respects those settings.

Here is how you can check if you have a contrast theme turned on:

Go to Windows Settings → Accessibility → Contrast Themes and confirm that the dropdown is set to None. If any theme like Aquatic, Desert, Dusk, or Night Sky is active, switch it off and apply the change:

If contrast themes are off, do you have any custom theme applied in Edge? You can check under Edge Settings → Appearance → Page colors and try switching off any colors there:

Hope this helps! If you have any more questions, please feel free to comment below. I'll happy to help!
