Theft/Fraud Associated with my Office Product Key.

If an Office product key shows as already used or invalid because it was resold or fraudulently obtained, the key has likely been blocked and will no longer work. The next steps are:

1. Contact the seller (UntilGone)
   • Request a refund directly from the seller, explaining that the key is already in use or has been blocked.
   • Microsoft guidance is to seek a refund from the seller whenever a product key does not work or has stopped working, especially when the key was purchased separately from the software.
2. Stop using that key and avoid reinstalling with it
   • Keys that are stolen, abused, or otherwise unauthorized are often blocked and cannot be reactivated.
3. Report the incident as fraud/abuse
   • Report the suspicious or fraudulent incident to Microsoft using the abuse/scam reporting options described in the identity theft guidance (for example, using the “Report Abuse” options in Microsoft services or the Microsoft technical support scam reporting page).
   • If payment information or personal data may have been misused, follow standard identity-theft steps: contact the bank/credit card provider, monitor statements, and consider placing fraud alerts with credit bureaus as appropriate.
4. If a refund is not possible and Office is still needed
   • Purchase Microsoft 365 or Office directly from Microsoft or another trusted, authorized seller, following Microsoft’s tips for safer shopping and avoiding product keys sold separately.
