I purchased Office Professional 2024 and downloaded it, but when I click on any of the Apps to update they say Office Pro 2021

I just purchased a Digital copy of Office Pro 2024 and downloaded and mounted it successfully. When I open any of the apps, and got to Account, to enter my product code, it shows Office Pro 2021, not 2024. Is this a mistake? Should I delete everything and try again?

It seems like there might be a mix-up with the installation or activation of your Office Professional 2024. Here are some steps you can take to resolve this issue:

    1. Check the Version: Ensure that you have the correct version of Office installed. You can do this by opening any Office application, going to File > Account, and checking the version number under the About section.
    2. Activation: If it shows Office Pro 2021, it could mean that the installation did not complete correctly, or the wrong version was installed. You may need to uninstall the current version and reinstall Office Professional 2024. To uninstall, you can use the Microsoft 365 Uninstall troubleshooter to ensure a clean removal.
    3. Reinstall: After uninstalling, restart your device and then follow the steps to download and install Office Professional 2024 again. Make sure to enter your product code during the installation process.
    4. Contact Support: If the issue persists, consider reaching out to Microsoft Support for further assistance.

Following these steps should help you get the correct version activated.

Office Professional 2024 is a volume license product for (large) organizations such as businesses. It is NOT intended to be purchased for home use. If someone sold it to you and led you to believe that you purchased an ordinary consumer license, you have been scammed. You should talk to the seller and try and get your money back.
